Brands are made up of names, tag lines, colors, sounds, scents, designs, symbols or other identifying features such as a logo. A logo needs to function on the smallest of applications and the largest. It needs to appeal to your customers, be eye catching and unique. A logo is the single most important investment you can make in your business, you want to have someone with experience and talent do this for you. Your brand is your personality with your logo being the single most recognized portion. Good, clean, professional design and marketing can help your brand stand out from the crowd. Proper branding can increase your sales and help grow your business. If you invest in your company, others will too.

The outward or customer facing brand elements are what can be called your identity. It’s assembled by you or a member of your team and it’s how you want people to perceive you. Read more about my branding process.

“A great brand raises the bar — it adds a greater sense of purpose to the experience, whether it’s the challenge to do your best in sports and fitness, or the affirmation that the cup of coffee you’re drinking really matters.” – Howard Schultz (president, CEO, and chairman of Starbucks)

We needed a logo for a new business we were launching. Melissa took specifications we had and our thoughts on what it might be or look like. When she came back she had a logo that looked amazing and spoke volumes about what our business was and what it did.” — Jacob, formerly of NW Metal Buyers.

I think the number one mistake that people make is not putting enough time / care / attention / funds into design. Conversely ALL design and no substance is equally bad, but good design can really give you a leg up, and automatically have people think you are far more ‘legitimate’ than you are — and this is especially important during start-up phase. — Taylor of Good Food Jobs
